8 Day Tour: Shanghai, Xiamen, Mt. Wuyi, Fuzhou, Quanzhou

Day 1  

Depart from West Coast today, board a spacious jet for your transpacific journey and enjoy meals and entertainments on board.

 
 
Day 2  

When arriving in Shanghai, you will be greeted by our professional tour guide at the Shanghai International Airport and then transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for your own leisure.

 
 
Day 3  

Spend the day visiting beautiful traditional Cheng Huang Temple, the Bund and shopping along the Nanjing Road. You can also view the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (No Ascending). Then, we shall take a night flight to Wuyi Mountain and meet your local guide at the airport.

 
 
Day 4  

The resort is in southern suburbs of Wuyi Mountain City, covering an area of 70 square kilometers. It is a typical topographic feature and always described as “green water and red hills” or “the most beautiful in Southeast China.” It is a historical mountain because of the coexistence of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Raft on the Jiuqu Stream, you can see 36 hills, 72 caves and 99 peaks in Wuyi Mountain.

 
 
Day 5  

Visit Water Curtain Cave, Eagle Beak Rock, Pavilions Hanging in the Air in the morning. The Water Curtain Cave is the largest rock cavern in Wuyi Mountains, with a slanting top, like upturned eaves. Two streams run down from the top of the cave. After lunch, take train N549(15:30/21:44) to Fuzhou—the capital city of Fujian Province. Fuzhou, was so named after a mountain situated in the north called Mt. Fu. Additionally, many banyans were planted in the Song Dynasty and now provide shade for the entire city giving it another good name - Rong Cheng (Banyan City). Besides, the city is renowned for both quality and quantity of hot springs throughout China.

 
 
Day 6  

After your breakfast, start your tour to West Lake Park, situated in the northwest of Fuzhou, is famed for its similarity to West Lake in Hangzhou.West Lake Park is the most completed ancient garden in Fuzhou City and is called a pearl of gardens in Fujian Province. Then go to Mt. Yu located in the center of Fuzhous' downtown area.Take a coach for 2.5 hours to Quanzhou which is one of the 24 first announced historical and cultural cities in China and was also the starting point of the famous “Maritime Silk Route”. Visit Kaiyuan Temple, which is situated on the west street of the city. The East Tower and the West Tower standing in the temple are regarded as special symbol of the old Quanzhou town. Then go to Quanzhou Museum and have a good understanding of history and culture of the ancient city. Tour to a night market after dinner.

 
 
Day 7  

After breakfast, travel to Xiamen--the coastal city in the south of China. As a habitat of egrets since ancient times thanks to its tranquil environment with blossoming flowers and luxuriant lawns, it is also as Egret Island. The South Putuo Temple is at the foot of Wulao(Five-Aged-Men) Mountains built in the Tang Dynasty. Then go to the Round Island Road which starts east from Xiamen International Exhibition Center of Qianpu Village and ends west to the White City of Xiamen University.The whole section of Round Island Road is beside the mountain and faces the sea. Afternoon tour to Gulangyu Islet situated in the southwest of Xiamen. It is renowned as ‘Garden on the East China Sea’ and was rated in 1988 as national scenic spot. Visit a city central park in the night.

 
 
Day 8  

After breakfast, we shall take Flight FM 5672 to Shanghai , and then transfer to homebound flight, ending the wonderful 8 days China tour.
