Day 2
Rome (City Tour) -
Vatican City
Arrive in Rome, a
city with unique blend of history, architecture and world famous monuments.
The afternoon tour includes the Roma Forum, St. Peter’s Basilica, a
panoramic view of the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, etc. (D)
Day 3
Rome - Rompei Ruins - Napoli (City Tour)
Coach south to Pompei to enjoy a guided walking tour of excavations of
the Roman town and its inhabitants, literally petrified by the eruption of Versuvius in AD79. Later on, proceed to Napoli, a
lovely seashore resort. On arrival, there will be a brief city orientation
on the city wall, Arch of Triumph and People’s square. (B/D)
Day 4
Napoli - Bagnoregio- Assisi (City Tour)
Head north for Bagnoregio accessible only by bridges, and also known
as “Sky City?once animated by a cartoon novelist. Afterwards proceed to Assisi,
known as “Pink City?to start a walking tour at the Bascilica
of St. Francis, famous for its fresco painting depicting of the life of
this much-loved saint, and to view the tomb of St. Francis. (B/D)
Day 5
Assisi - Chianti -
Florence (City Tour) - Lucca
Morning all will
head for Italy’s best well-known vineyards by coach, where all will have
the unique opportunity to enjoy famous grape wine served with cheese, dry
aged meat and a variety of olive oil. Leaving the vineyards,
all will continue the journey to Florence, the cradle of Renaissance. The
multi colored Santa Maria of the Flower Cathedral, Signoria
Squares, etc. are all included in the city walking tour. Ample time will be
available for all to have a panoramic view from Michaelangelo
Square. Later, proceeds to Lucca for overnight. (B/D)
Day 6
Lucca - Pisa -
Cinque Terre - Bologna
Morning coach to
Cinque Terre, a dream holiday resort for urban Italians, with an enroute stop at Pisa for photo taking of the famed
leaning tower. Riding on a train, all will pass through natural fishing villages
with stop-overs at various locations on the way for all to enjoy the
exhilarating air as well as breath-taking scenery where indigenous
villagers reside. Overnight at Bologna. (B/D)
Day 7
Bologna - Venice (City
Tour) - Verona
Coach to Venice.
On board a water taxi to St. Mark’s Square, all will have a spectacular
view of the Bridge of Signs, the Basilica, etc., and will enjoy a
demonstration in a glass blowing factory. In late afternoon, a memorable
visit to Verona, the home of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. A brief
stop for all to admire the Roman Arena and Juliet’s Balcony. (B/D)
Day 8
Verona - Lake
District - Milan
Coach to Lake Como,
the most beautiful lake in Italian Lake District. One can leisurely roam
the old town and have a taste of a local lunch at your own expense.
Shopping and a brief city tour in Milan will be next. (B/D)
Day 9
Milan - Home City
At designated
time, we will transfer you to airport and wish you a pleasant homeward
flight. (B)
